We have two farms that we own to run our
delightful Australian Lowline cattle. One is in the small hamlet of
Tylden not far from Kyneton. It is 54 acres and a narrow,
undulating, long block of very marginal country, that we have
improved a lot with our grazing management. We run most of our
stud & show cattle on this property for easier management.
The second property of 60 acres is in the smaller
town of Lauriston. This farm is on the edge of the Malmsbury
Reservoir which was fantastic when we brought it because it was
stocked with fish and we would have swans in our dams to greet
us when we went there.
We haven't seen water in the reservoir for the
last four years but we are looking forward to it filling again.
We have cattle agisted on four properties of about
120 acres within
two kilometres from home, mainly because the owners don't want to
have their own cattle and just want something to eat their grass
which is easy on their fences, paddocks and are so quiet they don't
create any problems.
